Student life

Learning. Friendship. Creativity. Discovery.

A child's education is shaped by much more than lessons and examinations. At Keti, we want students to experience school as a place where they learn, make friends, discover talents, develop confidence, stay active, create, celebrate and learn to care for others.

Arts & creativity

Every child has something to discover

Arts provide opportunities to express ideas, develop imagination and discover abilities that may not always emerge through traditional academic subjects. Students participate in drawing, painting, crafts, design, performance and other creative experiences.

Sport, play & physical development

Through physical education, organized sports, games, playground activities and outdoor play, students develop fitness, coordination, teamwork, discipline, resilience and confidence.

Learning outdoors

Gardens, plants, outdoor-learning areas and playgrounds give children opportunities to observe, explore, ask questions and develop responsibility for their surroundings. At KG #2 especially, nature, movement and discovery form an important part of the school experience.

Character & belonging

Growing as people

Keti wants students to become not only capable learners but also good human beings.

  • Self-discipline
  • Service
  • Care for others

A safe place to belong

Students learn best when they feel that they belong. Keti seeks a culture where children are known, respected, encouraged and protected. Teachers and staff model respectful relationships and help children learn appropriate ways to communicate, cooperate and resolve difficulties.

Corporal punishment is not permitted at Keti Academy.

Meals, health & daily well-being

Children's ability to learn is influenced by health, nutrition, comfort and daily routines. Keti invests in meal services, clean dining environments, safe drinking water, handwashing facilities, sanitation and appropriate supervision. At KG level, meals are integrated into the school program.

Celebrations & school community

Throughout the year, Keti brings students, staff and families together through school-opening activities, cultural celebrations, student recognition, performances, special learning events and other community occasions.

Recognizing achievement

Keti celebrates academic excellence, significant improvement, creativity, leadership, good character, effort and contribution to the school community. Recognition is not only about rewarding the highest marks; it should encourage children to continue developing their abilities and character.

Keti Discovery Camp

Discover beyond the classroom

Keti Discovery Camp is an annual enrichment program that gives children opportunities to explore interests beyond the regular school curriculum through English, science, STEM, technology, arts, sports, creativity and practical learning.

Clubs & enrichment

As Keti grows, we aim to expand opportunities according to student interests, potentially including reading, science, STEM, coding, art, environment, sport, languages and debate or public speaking.

Student voice & leadership

Children should have age-appropriate opportunities to express ideas, take responsibility and contribute to their school community. Through classroom responsibilities, activities and developing leadership opportunities, Keti encourages students to become increasingly responsible, confident and able to work with others.

Families are part of Keti

Parents and guardians are children's first and continuing educators. Keti seeks constructive partnership with families through communication, parent meetings, school events, progress reporting and opportunities to participate in the school community.
